AN Structural: Start codon was modified. Codon usage was good in the initial prediction by FrameD, but I moved to be coherent with Xcv. Functionnal: the Cterminal half of the protein is quite similar to AtoS of coli and subtilis. Interesting as CDS XFF4834R chr 1507 is annotated as AtoR. However, the Nter part of the protein does not match AtoS. As this Nter part probably is the external part of the sensor, this two component system probably senses another signal than AtoS 99% identity with pilS of Xav 8510, for which functionnal proofs are described:PilR enhances the sensitivity of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri to the infection of filamentous bacteriophage Cf. Yang YC, et al. Curr Microbiol, 2004 Apr. PMID 15057449.
